Core updates

Every update stays in your hands

Supacharger tracks a moving ecosystem, but a Core update is still an ordinary, inspectable code change. Preview it, review the diff, run the declared checks and choose when to deploy it.

A foundation builders can understand

Supacharger brings the repeatable systems of a modern SaaS product together: authentication, profiles, organisations, billing, localisation, deployment and the CLI workflow. Builders can inspect the implementation, learn from it and adapt it without accepting the assumptions of a closed platform.

We describe the terms plainly. The public licence permits personal and non-commercial use with attribution and ShareAlike conditions. Commercial work requires a separate licence. That distinction keeps the foundation useful to individual builders while supporting its continued maintenance.

Why we publish the work

Trust starts with enough access to inspect the foundation, build with it and decide whether it deserves a place beneath your product.

A foundation that can endure

Let us be honest: many serious starters are paywalled, and some indie makers have made a fortune selling them to large social followings. That model can work, but a new foundation cannot earn trust from behind the same wall.

If Supacharger is going to make a splash, it has to be readily available. Builders need enough access to take the leap of faith, see the quality for themselves and decide whether it belongs beneath their next product.

We also want control of the framework Specdrive uses for code generation. Publishing Core lets us shape that foundation in the open, keep it agent-ready and improve it alongside the products built on it.

Freedom from lock-in

Builders can inspect the foundation, adapt it to their product and keep control of the systems they depend on.

Knowledge shared in public

Public code lets users diagnose problems, propose improvements and teach one another.

Better work through collaboration

Developers and contributors can improve one foundation instead of repeatedly solving the same infrastructure problems.

A clear line between Core and commercial

If a capability belongs in the foundation for most individual builders, our bias is to keep it in Core.

Core remains available to inspect, use, modify and build upon within the public licence terms.

Personal and non-commercial use requires visible credit linking to Supacharger by Glowplug Limited.

Attributing builders receive access to a growing catalogue of Supacharger Extensions.

A commercial no-attribution licence is available for client work, company products and revenue-generating applications.

Specialist integrations, organisation-scale services and support-heavy packages may sit outside Core. Glowplug Limited funds continued work through commercial licences, paid Extensions and services for teams that need deeper help.

Core stays useful on its own. Paid products add convenience, specialist capability or organisational support; they do not make the free foundation deliberately incomplete.

Supacharger is provided to individual builders for personal and non-commercial projects under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Public License.
